Quality Assurance & Enhancement Officer – Academic

About the role

The Quality Assurance and Enhancement (QAE) Officer – Academic will join Griffith College’s QAE department to support, guide and improve the quality of academic programmes across all campuses. Reporting to the Head of QAE, the role works closely with programme teams, faculty and external partners to ensure compliance with national and international accreditation standards.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, implement and monitor academic quality policies and procedures.
• Manage validation, programme approval, periodic review, re‑validation and annual evaluation processes.
• Maintain liaison with collaborative partners, professional statutory and regulatory bodies (PSRBs) and accreditation agencies.
• Prepare and deliver quality assurance reports, ensuring alignment with QQI and other regulatory frameworks.
• Lead and manage QAE projects, providing guidance to academic and professional staff.
• Support the continuous improvement of learner‑centred processes and documentation.

Required profile

• Relevant degree or equivalent experience in education, quality assurance or a related field.
• Demonstrated experience in higher‑education quality assurance, accreditation or regulatory compliance.
• Strong analytical and reporting skills with the ability to work autonomously and collaboratively.
• Excellent communication skills and the confidence to provide direction on quality matters.
