Quality Controller – Food Production

About the role

The Quality Controller works closely with the Quality Manager to ensure that all produce meets the highest standards of safety and quality. This position involves daily testing, inspection, and documentation across intake, repack, and finished‑product stages.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out quality inspections on produce at intake, repack, and finished‑product stages.
• Maintain daily records, including intake and dispatch checks, and generate quality reports for suppliers.
• Monitor and enforce HACCP principles and BRC requirements to guarantee product safety and traceability.
• Cross‑check traceability for each delivery and liaise with suppliers to obtain required documentation.
• Assist with internal audits and ensure compliance with health, safety, and quality regulations.

Required profile

• Degree in Food Science or related field (preferred but not essential).
• Minimum 1 year experience in quality assurance or 3 years in production.
• Familiarity with BRC/IFS Food Safety standards, HACCP, and relevant retailer codes of practice.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
