Quality Engineer – Manufacturing & QA

About the role

This position offers a dedicated Quality Engineer the chance to drive product excellence and process efficiency within a well‑established manufacturing organisation in Monaghan. You will work in a structured environment that promotes continuous improvement, learning and professional growth.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse and review product quality standards to ensure compliance with internal and third‑party certification requirements.
• Conduct inspections and tests on raw materials, in‑process items and final products, verifying that specifications are met.
• Lead root‑cause investigations and recommend corrective actions for customer complaints and internal audit findings.
• Support production teams by providing guidance on quality standards and applying Six Sigma and lean problem‑solving tools.
• Perform internal audits of processes and suppliers, maintaining ongoing compliance and driving continuous improvement.
• Participate in quality improvement projects, tracking progress and implementing cost‑saving changes.

Required profile

• Degree or diploma in Engineering, Science or a related field.
• Proven experience in a quality control role within a fast‑paced manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of product standards (ISO, EN) and quality systems; SAP experience preferred.
• Experience leading quality improvement projects using Six Sigma or lean methodologies.
• Ability to analyse data, identify trends and manage multiple priorities.
• Desirable: internal auditor certification, laboratory testing experience, qualification in lean manufacturing.
