Quality Enhancement and Training Officer

About the role

The Quality Enhancement and Training Officer will lead the implementation and monitoring of quality systems and training initiatives across the organisation. This full‑time contract position covers maternity leave and requires close collaboration with internal teams and external regulators.

Key responsibilities

• Support the implementation of quality frameworks such as the Council on Quality and Leadership Basic Assurances, Personal Outcomes Measures, National Standards for Residential Services, Health Act 2007 regulations, and the ‘New Directions’ 2012 review.
• Coordinate basic assurances factor groups and conduct systematic reviews.
• Develop, deliver and evaluate training programmes aligned with organisational needs.
• Manage projects related to Quality Enhancement, ensuring timelines and objectives are met.
• Participate in working groups relevant to quality enhancement and training functions.
• Support the coordination, delivery and monitoring of the organisation’s overall training plan.

Required profile

• Minimum Level 8 qualification on the QQI framework in Learning and Development, Psychology, Sociology, Community Development, Social Care or a related discipline.
• At least three years of post‑qualification experience in a comparable role.
• Demonstrated knowledge of relevant standards, legislation and regulations.
• Full clean driving licence and own vehicle.
• Willingness to work occasional evening hours.
