R&D Engineer II

About the role

Integer is seeking an R&D Engineer II to support the development of innovative medical device solutions. The role blends standard engineering practices with advanced technologies, ensuring that both internal and external customer expectations are consistently met.

Key responsibilities

• Apply standard engineering techniques and adapt specifications, procedures, and work instructions as needed.
• Conduct failure analysis and evaluate existing products, processes, and materials for improvement opportunities.
• Participate in moderate‑complexity projects to investigate, develop, document, and implement new product and process technologies.
• Plan, schedule, and execute engineering tasks within larger projects or lead smaller‑scope initiatives.
• Review procedures and plans prior to implementation, ensuring compliance with quality, safety, environmental, security, and FDA regulations.

Required profile

• Engineering degree or equivalent experience in the medical device industry.
• Ability to work independently with occasional guidance from senior engineers or managers.
• Strong analytical mindset with proactive insight into technical challenges.
