Receptionist – Full & Part‑Time

About the role

The Receptionist will be the first point of contact for guests, both on the phone and in person, delivering a 4‑star service in line with the hotel’s customer‑service standards. The role combines front‑desk duties, reservation handling and guest relations to support smooth hotel operations.

Key responsibilities

• Answer the switchboard warmly, take messages and direct calls appropriately.
• Greet and register guests, ensuring a seamless check‑in and check‑out experience.
• Maintain accurate daily business accounts and handle cash transactions.
• Make and manage reservations, maximise room revenue during peak periods and upsell where possible.
• Coordinate with housekeeping on room allocations and status updates.
• Monitor and replenish float cash to required levels.
• Promote hotel facilities and services to guests.
• Handle guest enquiries and complaints promptly and professionally.
• Report guest feedback and any incidents to management.
• Follow departmental SOPs and safeguard company assets.

Required profile

• Friendly, professional attitude with strong interpersonal skills.
• Fluent written and spoken English.
• Availability for variable shifts, including weekends.
• Excellent organisational abilities.
• Previous reception or hospitality experience is an advantage.
