Recruiter – Children’s Residential Social Care

About the role

Odyssey Social Care is seeking a proactive Recruiter to lead full‑cycle recruitment for children’s residential social care positions across Ireland. The role focuses on attracting high‑quality professionals who are passionate about supporting vulnerable children and young people.

Key responsibilities

• Manage end‑to‑end recruitment for Social Care Workers, Team Leaders and Managers in residential settings.
• Develop and execute direct‑sourcing strategies using job boards, social media, networking and internal databases.
• Run recruitment campaigns targeting qualified candidates from EU and non‑EU countries.
• Ensure compliance with Irish employment law, CORU registration standards and Tusla guidelines.
• Maintain accurate recruitment metrics and produce regular reports for strategic decision‑making.
• Represent Odyssey Social Care at job fairs, open days and industry events.

Required profile

• Proven experience in recruitment, preferably within social care, healthcare or nonprofit sectors.
• Demonstrated success in direct sourcing and attracting international talent.
• Strong knowledge of the Irish children’s residential social care landscape, including CORU and Tusla requirements.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to work independently while handling multiple recruitment campaigns simultaneously.

Required skills

• Experience with applicant tracking systems (ATS) and recruitment tools.
