About the role
The Reliability Supervisor will lead a dedicated team to assess and improve the reliability of assets at Newmont’s Lihir operation. This role focuses on applying standard methodologies, conducting root‑cause analyses, leveraging data analytics, and collaborating with operations to ensure asset performance meets business objectives.
Key responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a reliability team to evaluate asset performance and identify improvement opportunities.
- Assess existing asset management strategies, pinpoint gaps, and implement initiatives to boost reliability and availability.
- Monitor mechanical asset compliance with legislation, standards and company requirements, recommending actions to address risks.
- Prioritise and champion reliability improvement projects based on risk, business impact and strategic goals.
- Develop and execute reliability programs for both fixed plant and mobile equipment using industry best practices.
- Facilitate site reliability reviews and audits to drive continuous improvement across operations.
- Collaborate closely with operations, maintenance and engineering teams to align reliability efforts.
Required profile
- Proven experience leading reliability or asset performance teams in an industrial setting.
- Strong understanding of asset management principles and regulatory compliance.
- Ability to assess, prioritise and drive improvement initiatives aligned with business objectives.
- Excellent communication skills to work with cross‑functional teams and present findings.
