About the role
We are seeking a part‑time Cyber Security Analyst to join a global technology leader on a remote basis. You will monitor security events, investigate incidents, and help safeguard critical infrastructure and sensitive data.
Key responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security events from SIEM platforms, firewalls, and IDS/IPS systems.
- Investigate security incidents, determine scope, impact, and root cause.
- Implement and maintain security controls to mitigate risks.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and recommend remediation actions.
- Prepare detailed incident reports with findings and recommendations.
Required profile
- Experience with SIEM tools such as Splunk or QRadar.
- Knowledge of network security protocols, firewalls, and intrusion detection/prevention systems.
- Familiarity with vulnerability assessment tools like Nessus, OpenVAS, or Qualys.
- Understanding of security frameworks such as NIST, ISO 27001, or CIS Controls.
- Ability to analyze logs and network traffic to detect anomalies.
- Proven incident response experience and strong problem‑solving skills.
- Self‑motivated and able to work independently in a remote environment.
