Reservations Agent

About the role

The Grace Westport Estate is hiring a full-time Reservations Agent in Westport, County Mayo. The agent manages reservation inquiries with accuracy and a strong service mindset, capturing guest booking information correctly, maximising revenue through upselling and keeping internal teams aligned so guests receive a seamless experience from reservation to arrival. The role links Front Office, Sales and operations.

Key responsibilities

• Enter and manage all reservation inquiries accurately in Opera iCloud according to established standards.
• Handle bookings by phone, email and digital channels with timely, professional responses.
• Maintain accurate guest profiles, rate codes, packages and special requests.
• Run daily quality checks on reservations for data integrity and compliance.
• Promote upselling and cross-selling of estate facilities and packages.
• Answer guest questions clearly about rates, availability and services.
• Support pre-arrival communication and coordination, and keep booking changes and high-priority reservations in touch with the right teams.
• Work with Front Office, Sales, Accommodation and others to align guest expectations with operational readiness.
• Follow SOPs, shift checklists and emergency procedures, and work with the Reservations/Reception Supervisor on shift duties.
• Perform ad-hoc duties asked by management.

Required profile

• Minimum 1 year of hospitality experience, preferably in reservations, front office or a guest-facing role.
• Strong organisation, attention to detail and multitasking ability.
• Confident communicator with a professional telephone manner and good written skills.
• Eligibility to work in Ireland.

Required skills

• Comfortable using reservation systems and office technology; Opera experience is advantageous.
