Reservations Assistant – Full Time

About the role

Join The Merrion, a luxury hotel in Dublin city centre, as a full‑time Reservations Assistant. You will handle guest enquiries, manage bookings and support the reservations team in delivering the hotel’s high service standards.

Key responsibilities

• Answer incoming calls and emails related to reservations, confirmations, special requests and guest enquiries.
• Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of all rates, packages and promotions offered by The Merrion.
• Enter reservations accurately into the Opera Cloud PMS.
• Communicate reservation details clearly to other hotel departments.
• Review arrival lists and ensure special requests are followed up correctly.
• Build strong guest relationships, convert enquiries into bookings and upsell where appropriate.
• Demonstrate strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Collaborate with the team to deliver exceptional customer service.

Required profile

• Previous reservations experience in a hotel environment.
• Experience using the Opera Cloud system.
• Excellent written and spoken English.
• Strong communication skills and a passion for guest service.
• Positive attitude, flexibility and enthusiasm for contributing to The Merrion’s culture.
