Retail District Manager

About the role

The Retail District Manager will oversee a portfolio of grocery stores, driving operational excellence and sales growth across the district. You will set strategic initiatives, ensure high standards of customer service, and collaborate with marketing to boost brand presence.

Key responsibilities

• Manage daily operations of multiple retail locations to achieve efficiency and profitability.
• Develop and execute strategic sales plans to meet district-wide targets.
• Lead, mentor and support store managers, fostering team development.
• Conduct regular store visits to ensure compliance with company policies, customer service, operations and merchandising standards.
• Analyze sales reports and operational metrics to identify trends and improvement opportunities.
• Promote a positive work environment and address personnel issues promptly.
• Work with the marketing team to implement promotional strategies and increase brand awareness.

Required profile

• Proven experience in retail management, preferably as a District Manager or similar role.
• Strong leadership and people‑management abilities.
• Excellent analytical skills for data‑driven decision making.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Willingness to travel frequently within the district.
• Understanding of retail operations, sales strategies and customer service standards.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Retail Management or related field (preferred).
• Valid driving licence.
