Revenue Accountant

About the role

Sitecore is looking for an experienced Revenue Accountant to ensure accurate revenue recognition for its SaaS subscription and multi‑element contracts. The role is central to the month‑end close process and works closely with Sales, Legal, and FP&A to maintain compliance with IFRS 15.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze customer contracts and configure NetSuite ARM to recognize revenue in line with IFRS 15 and internal policies.
• Prepare and post journal entries for revenue, deferred revenue, and related accounts during month‑end close.
• Reconcile deferred revenue and unbilled receivables, supporting timely financial reporting.
• Partner with Sales and Legal to review new and amended contracts, maintaining documentation for audit purposes.
• Identify and implement process improvements, including automation of manual tasks and strengthening internal controls.
• Support external audits by preparing schedules and responding to inquiries.
• Collaborate with FP&A, Sales Operations, and other functions to ensure consistent revenue accounting practices.

Required profile

• Proven experience in revenue accounting for SaaS or subscription‑based businesses.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS 15 and multi‑element arrangement accounting.
• Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work cross‑functionally with Sales, Legal, and Finance teams.

Required skills

• NetSuite ARM (or similar ERP) for revenue recognition.
• Understanding of IFRS 15 revenue recognition standards.
• Advanced Excel or spreadsheet modeling for reconciliations.
