About the role
Based in Birmingham, you will deliver excellent customer service across our rail network, working both on board our trains and at station barriers. The role offers a varied day‑to‑day experience, with no two days the same.
Key responsibilities
- Assist passengers with travel enquiries, ticket checking and sales on board.
- Prepare travel irregularity reports and MG11 forms.
- Support fellow on‑board colleagues and collaborate with other Revenue & Support Specialists at stations.
- Work alongside train operating companies and the British Transport Police at barriers.
- Adapt to a range of shift patterns, including early mornings, late nights and occasional overnight stays for events.
Required profile
- Proven track record in customer‑facing roles.
- Flexibility to work varied shifts across a 7‑day week.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to remain calm, think quickly and defuse potential conflicts.
- Willingness to undergo a pre‑employment medical and DBS check.
Required skills
- IT literate with knowledge of Microsoft Office.
