Risk & Compliance Executive

About the role

The Risk & Compliance Executive will support the Risk & Compliance Officer in ensuring the firm meets all legal and regulatory obligations. You will be involved in client onboarding, anti‑money‑laundering checks, regulatory reporting and internal risk monitoring.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct conflict checks for new clients and matters using iManage, Nexis, UBO Register and Vision‑net.
• Prepare Client Risk Assessments (CRAs) and manage anti‑money‑laundering documentation, responding to queries and monitoring outstanding requirements.
• Administer the firm’s DAC6 process, manage user access and record undertakings in the MF Undertakings Register.
• Retrieve and review legacy private client and wills files, responding to external queries.
• Review closed matters, compile monthly reports of high‑value matters and support periodic file reviews.
• Upload client Terms & Conditions to Aderant and iManage, keeping related documentation up to date.
• Deliver training sessions to secretarial staff on new client and matter opening procedures.

Required profile

• Previous experience in a risk, compliance or legal administrative role.
• Strong understanding of AML and client due‑diligence requirements.
• High attention to detail with strong organisational abilities.
• Analytical and problem‑solving skills, able to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
