Rust Engineer – Trading

About the role

We are seeking a Rust Engineer to join Keyrock’s Capital Markets division, focusing on building and optimising low‑latency, mission‑critical trading systems. The role is fully remote and open to candidates located in European time zones, offering the chance to impact a fast‑growing digital‑asset market‑making business.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and optimise high‑performance Rust applications for algorithmic trading.
• Collaborate with quantitative analysts, traders and other engineers to enhance trading strategies.
• Maintain and improve trading infrastructure to ensure stability and low latency.
• Implement scalable, resilient solutions for exchange connectivity, order execution and market data handling.
• Diagnose and resolve performance bottlenecks, networking issues and cloud‑related problems.
• Support functional and component testing of critical trading components.

Required profile

• Proven experience in a trading environment such as HFT, market making or proprietary trading.
• Strong background in Rust development; familiarity with the Tokio asynchronous runtime is a plus.
• Hands‑on knowledge of AWS services, Linux systems and shell scripting.
• Ability to work independently in a remote, globally distributed team.
