Sales Assistant – Retail (Tralee)

About the role

We are looking for enthusiastic Sales Assistants to join our Smyths Toys superstore in Tralee. In this fast‑moving retail environment you will help families find the perfect toys while delivering a friendly, high‑quality customer experience.

Key responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service and identify shoppers’ needs.
• Operate the tills and handle cash transactions accurately.
• Maintain a clean, tidy store and ensure shelves are well‑stocked.
• Process deliveries, perform price changes and assist with stock replenishment.
• Stay up‑to‑date with product knowledge to advise customers on toys, games and related items.

Required profile

• Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including evenings, nights and weekends.
• Retail experience is desirable but not mandatory (e.g., outdoor, bikes, nursery, software & gaming, warehouse).
• Positive attitude, team‑oriented and able to thrive in a dynamic environment.

Required skills

• Cash‑handling and point‑of‑sale operation.
• Basic inventory and stock‑management procedures.
