Security Operations Analyst (6‑Month Contract, Hybrid)

About the role

We are supporting a well‑established organisation that is strengthening its cyber security operations and operational resilience. The Security Operations Analyst will join a hybrid, 6‑month contract to monitor, detect and respond to cyber threats across a complex enterprise environment.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor, triage and respond to cybersecurity alerts and incidents.
• Operate and support security technologies such as SIEM, EDR, vulnerability management and email security.
• Collaborate with the managed SOC to investigate, escalate and remediate security events.
• Assist incident response, threat hunting and threat intelligence activities.
• Support vulnerability assessments and remediation programmes.
• Contribute to security risk management, reporting and operational metrics.
• Help prepare for internal and external security audits and maintain documentation and playbooks.

Required profile

• Experience in a Security Operations, SOC Analyst or Cyber Security Analyst role.
• Hands‑on experience with SIEM, EDR and vulnerability management tools.
• Proven ability to investigate and respond to security incidents.
• Strong analytical, communication and problem‑solving skills.
• Experience in regulated environments and knowledge of DORA and operational resilience principles is desirable.
• Relevant security certifications (e.g., Security+, SSCP, GIAC, ISC2) are a plus.
