About the role
The Senior Academic Developer will lead Trinity College Dublin’s AI‑focused educational transformation, supporting the university’s Strategic Plan 2025‑2030. This senior position drives the integration of artificial intelligence into teaching, learning and assessment, ensuring ethical and evidence‑based practice.
Key responsibilities
- Design and implement AI‑enhanced pedagogical approaches across the university.
- Support academic staff in creating authentic, AI‑literate assessments.
- Foster critical engagement with AI among faculty and students.
- Lead research on AI‑informed teaching and learning.
- Develop governance, policy and evaluation frameworks for AI use in education.
Required profile
- Proven experience in academic development or educational innovation.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and solve complex problems.
- Strong knowledge of AI tools and their ethical implications in education.
- Track record of leading interdisciplinary projects.
Required skills
- Artificial Intelligence tools and platforms (e.g., generative AI, machine‑learning applications).
- Pedagogical design and curriculum development.
- Assessment design with AI integration.
- Research methodology in education.
What we offer
- Fixed‑term contract until 30 August 2029 (35 hours/week).
