Senior Accountant – Global Lease Accounting

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Accountant to join the Global Lease Accounting team within our Cork‑based Shared Service Centre. The role supports financial operations across EMEA, the US and APAC, handling lease accounting under IFRS 16 and US GAAP.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the end‑to‑end lease accounting cycle, ensuring accurate calculations under IFRS 16 and US GAAP.
• Maintain data integrity and perform validation in SAP to ensure audit readiness.
• Collaborate with Global Real Estate and Technical Accounting teams to translate complex accounting issues into clear insights for non‑finance stakeholders.
• Serve as the primary contact for external auditors, address queries and implement post‑audit improvements.

Required profile

• ACA, ACCA or CPA qualification.
• 2‑3+ years of experience in financial reporting with strong knowledge of IFRS 16 and/or ASC 842.
• Exceptional attention to detail and ability to research technical issues independently.
• Proven ability to influence and engage stakeholders across multi‑country, multi‑currency environments.

Required skills

• Strong working knowledge of SAP.
