Senior Accountant – SME Portfolio (Kildare)

About the role

We are seeking a Qualified Senior Accountant to join a leading accountancy and business advisory practice in County Kildare. The role offers high visibility, working directly with a Lead Partner on a diverse portfolio of SME clients, and combines statutory reporting with proactive advisory services.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare statutory financial statements for SME clients in accordance with FRS 102/105.
• Provide strategic business advice on cash flow, growth and planning.
• Prepare and file Corporation Tax, Income Tax and VAT returns.
• Review and mentor junior staff and trainees.
• Manage day‑to‑day client relationships and ensure timely, high‑quality deliverables.

Required profile

• Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CPA).
• 2–3 years of experience in an Irish accountancy practice.
• Strong knowledge of Irish GAAP and tax compliance.

Required skills

• Irish GAAP (FRS 102/105).
• Experience with cloud accounting software such as Xero, Sage or CCH.
