Senior Assurance Manager – Belfast

About the role

PWC’s Belfast audit team is expanding and seeks a Senior Assurance Manager to lead audit engagements for some of Northern Ireland’s largest and fastest‑growing businesses. You will work across diverse sectors such as retail, manufacturing, pharmaceuticals, hospitality, technology and entertainment, delivering high‑quality audit and assurance services.

Key responsibilities

• Liaise with engagement leaders, keeping them informed of issues and progress.
• Manage staff requisitions, allocations and budgeting, ensuring fees and costs are accurately recorded.
• Oversee audit file review from planning through completion, including financial statement analysis and compliance with firm methodology.
• Organise partner and quality‑review partner meetings, draft board reports, engagement letters and audit representation letters.
• Develop client relationships, prepare competitive audit proposals and support recruitment at graduate level.
• Coach and appraise staff, coordinate training on internal systems and promote networking within the local business community.

Required profile

• Minimum 8 years of practice accounting experience in a Big 4 or comparable international firm.
• Qualified ACA, ACCA or equivalent professional accounting designation.
• Strong knowledge of UK GAAP and IFRS standards.
