Senior AWS Platform Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a Senior AWS Platform Engineer to design, automate, and maintain secure, scalable cloud platforms for a modern financial services environment. You will work closely with engineering, security, and operations teams to deliver resilient, cloud‑native solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Design and automate AWS infrastructure using Terraform and IaC best practices.
• Support and optimise Kubernetes/EKS environments and Docker container workloads.
• Build and maintain secure CI/CD pipelines and GitOps workflows.
• Implement AWS security controls, IAM policies, encryption, and governance frameworks.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to ensure operational excellence and compliance.
• Monitor performance with Grafana, Prometheus, Splunk, Dynatrace, and CloudWatch.
• Drive cost optimisation and FinOps initiatives across multi‑account AWS environments.

Required profile

• 5+ years in platform engineering, cloud engineering, SRE or similar roles.
• 3+ years hands‑on experience with AWS, including networking (VPC, DNS, load balancers, firewalls, routing).
• Proven experience in regulated sectors such as financial services or FinTech.

Required skills

• AWS, Terraform, Kubernetes, EKS, Docker.
• Python, Go, Shell scripting.
• GitOps, CI/CD, IAM, KMS, encryption.
• Monitoring tools: Grafana, Prometheus, Splunk, Dynatrace, CloudWatch.
• Cost optimisation and FinOps practices.
