Senior Buyer Planner – Manufacturing Supply Chain

About the role

We are partnering with a leading global manufacturing organisation to hire a Senior Buyer Planner for its Dublin operation. This role sits at the heart of the supply chain, ensuring that material availability, supplier performance and inventory levels align with production schedules and business growth targets.

Key responsibilities

• Manage buying and planning activities to meet manufacturing schedules and customer demand.
• Analyse MRP signals and execute purchase orders and planning actions promptly.
• Develop and maintain strong supplier relationships to achieve delivery, quality and service expectations.
• Identify and mitigate supply risks to avoid production interruptions.
• Monitor inventory levels and implement optimisation strategies while maintaining service levels.
• Lead resolution of material shortages, delivery delays and supply‑chain disruptions.
• Participate in supplier performance reviews and drive continuous improvement.
• Ensure compliance with company procedures and regulatory requirements.
• Generate and analyse supply‑chain metrics and reports to support decision‑making.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience in a buyer, planner, materials planner or similar supply‑chain role within a regulated manufacturing environment.
• Strong understanding of MRP/ERP systems and supply‑planning methodologies.
• Experience in regulated sectors such as medical devices, pharmaceuticals, life sciences or aerospace.
• Advanced analytical abilities and attention to detail.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in Excel.
• Hands‑on experience with ERP systems.
• Knowledge of MRP principles.
