Senior C# Software Engineer (AI) – Cork (Hybrid)

About the role

We are seeking a Senior C# Software Engineer with a focus on AI to join a multinational organisation in Cork on a hybrid basis. The role involves designing, developing and maintaining web and desktop applications using the modern Microsoft stack and integrating AI/ML solutions on Azure.

Key responsibilities

• Architect, develop, test and maintain robust web and desktop applications using .NET Core, C#, ASP.NET and Blazor.
• Design and deploy production‑ready AI/ML pipelines and cognitive services on Microsoft Azure (Azure ML, AKS, Azure Functions).
• Build and manage scalable RESTful APIs, integrate third‑party services and optimise SQL Server schemas, queries and stored procedures.
• Collaborate with data‑science, product and QA teams to turn advanced AI models into enterprise‑grade software components.
• Lead code reviews, performance tuning, debugging and produce testing documentation and technical demos.
• Participate in Agile sprint planning, provide effort estimates and follow secure coding best practices.

Required profile

• 8+ years of professional software engineering experience within the Microsoft ecosystem.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related technical discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
• Strong problem‑solving abilities and capacity to work autonomously.
