About the role
An opportunity has arisen to recruit a Senior Commercial Manager, based in our Dublin offices. The successful candidate will coordinate strategic programmes across the All‑Island market and liaise between departments to achieve commercial outcomes.
Key responsibilities
- Identify and implement opportunities to enhance revenue, efficiency and long‑term productivity, delivering tangible commercial value.
- Oversee key commercial risks, including revenue and cost hedging strategies, and ensure robust mitigation measures.
- Deliver insightful financial and operational KPIs to support asset performance and meet group reporting standards.
- Assist the GB team in evaluating capital investments and business development opportunities, ensuring commercial viability and risk mitigation.
- Design and negotiate new contractual arrangements to optimise outcomes, manage risk and oversee contractor litigation.
- Foster collaboration across the organisation to identify future commercial opportunities, streamline processes and share best practices.
- Assess regulatory updates for commercial impact and align regulatory strategy to optimise outcomes.
- Lead business planning activities across All‑Island operations, aligning strategic goals with execution.
- Promote economically sound decision‑making through robust economic analysis and high‑quality management information.
- Provide commercial and economic insights to align business planning with maintenance and investment strategies.
Required profile
- Proven experience managing and prioritising multiple competing demands.
- Experience in commercial evaluation, negotiations, procurement, acquisitions, due‑diligence and contractual disputes.
- Experience in litigation management and ability to use complex analytical tools and statistics for performance analysis.
- Knowledge of investment analysis, process improvement, change management and the ISEM market (advantage).
- Excellent analytical, organisational and project‑management skills with strong interpersonal and communication abilities.
- Minimum 2:1 Honours degree in Finance, Business, Economics or Engineering and an accountancy qualification (ACA/ACCA).
