Senior Contract Manager

About the role

Arcadis is looking for an experienced Senior Contract Manager to lead the delivery of water and wastewater projects in the Kildare region. Reporting to the Operations Director, you will oversee Design‑Build and DBOM contracts, ensuring safe, profitable, and high‑quality execution.

Key responsibilities

• Lead multidisciplinary delivery teams across engineering, commercial, construction, commissioning and operations.
• Ensure compliance with Health, Safety and Environmental standards on all sites.
• Coordinate with regulatory agencies such as IFI, NPWS, HSA, EPA and OPW.
• Act as PSCS on live sites, maintaining up‑to‑date documentation.
• Conduct regular H&S inspections and support customer audits.
• Manage testing and quality procedures including FAT, SAT, ITPs, pipe pressure testing and hydrostatic tank testing.
• Apply Lean Construction and Last Planner techniques to programme management.
• Prepare, track and adjust contract programmes, mitigating risks through design or construction changes.
• Recruit, mentor and manage site teams, suppliers and subcontractors.
• Control project cash‑flow and ensure timely interim payment applications.
• Identify value‑engineering opportunities and prepare monthly commercial reports.

Required profile

• Proven leadership of large, multidisciplinary project teams.
• Strong knowledge of H&S regulations and agency liaison.
• Experience managing Design‑Build and DBOM contracts in water/wastewater sectors.
• Ability to drive programme performance and risk mitigation.
• Excellent communication with customers, suppliers and internal stakeholders.
