Senior Contracts Manager

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Contracts Manager to join AECOM’s Dublin team. In this leadership position you will provide commercial and contractual expertise across major infrastructure projects, guiding them from tender through to final account.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure alignment with AECOM’s contract management standards and compliance with the selected contract suite (e.g., NEC).
• Oversee contract administration activities, identify and report any non‑compliance.
• Develop and maintain effective commercial relationships with contractors and consultants, fostering collaborative working.
• Review, advise on and tailor draft contracts, coordinating input from legal, technical and financial advisors.
• Lead contractual negotiations and provide guidance to project, service and programme managers.
• Review and approve subcontractor documentation and certify payments under NEC Option C, D and E contracts.
• Audit contractor and consultant accounts, assess cost forecasts and manage pain/gain‑share mechanisms.
• Conduct delay‑damage assessments and calculate related claims.
• Develop contract‑management strategies, set KPI targets within NEC incentive schedules and monitor performance.

Required profile

• Proven experience in contract management within large‑scale construction or infrastructure projects.
• Strong understanding of NEC contract options (C, D, E) and associated commercial mechanisms.
• Ability to lead negotiations and influence senior stakeholders.
• Excellent analytical skills for cost auditing and delay‑damage assessments.
• Detail‑oriented approach to ensure compliance with contractual terms.
