Senior Control Consultant

About the role

Northern Trust is seeking a Senior Control Consultant to support the Chief Control Officer (CCO) Enablement function. The role will manage financial, organizational and compliance reporting, and partner with senior leaders to drive data‑driven decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Create and maintain KPI, financial, FTE, capacity and efficiency reports and analytics.
• Design processes to capture key data for analysis.
• Support annual planning by authoring and presenting capital investment business cases.
• Perform monthly financial analysis and reporting of actual spend, forecasts and status.
• Present concise insights and actionable recommendations to leadership.
• Collaborate with CCO leadership and Finance to develop the annual financial plan and conduct ad‑hoc analyses.
• Produce regular headcount reports, track changes in FTEs, and work with HR and recruiting on capacity planning.
• Identify opportunities to improve financial performance and operational efficiency.

Required profile

• Proven experience in financial reporting, budgeting and data analysis.
• Strong understanding of risk management, controls and regulatory frameworks.
• Ability to translate strategic objectives into tactical plans.
• Excellent organizational, analytical and leadership abilities.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• University degree or equivalent relevant work experience.
