Senior Director, Business Development – French Speaking

About the role

The Senior Director, Business Development – French Speaking will lead the growth of a clinical research organisation across Ireland and international markets. Reporting to senior leadership, you will shape the commercial strategy, build high‑value client relationships, and represent the company at key industry events.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, develop and secure new business opportunities with pharmaceutical, biotech and healthcare clients.
• Maintain and expand relationships with existing accounts to drive long‑term revenue.
• Lead the full sales cycle, from prospecting and negotiations to contract finalisation.
• Coordinate responses to RFPs and RFIs in partnership with cross‑functional teams.
• Create and execute territory, key‑account and strategic growth plans aligned with revenue targets.
• Represent the organisation at conferences, trade shows, client meetings and bid‑defence presentations.
• Collaborate with senior leadership on major client presentations and strategic initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Life Sciences or related field; Master’s or MBA preferred.
• Minimum 10 years of business development or clinical sales experience within the CRO industry.
• Deep understanding of Phase II‑IV clinical drug development.
• Proven track record of achieving ambitious revenue targets.
• Fluency in English and French, both written and spoken.
• Willingness to travel extensively across assigned territories and internationally.

• Microsoft Office proficiency.
• Experience with CRM or sales‑management software.
