Senior Educational Developer – Digital Education

About the role

Maynooth University’s Centre for Teaching and Learning is looking for a Senior Educational Developer with a strong focus on digital education. The role will support academic staff in enhancing teaching, learning and assessment through innovative digital solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the design, development and delivery of accredited and non‑accredited professional development programmes centred on digital teaching and learning.
• Drive educational development initiatives, projects and programmes that improve digital pedagogy across the university.
• Collaborate with faculty and programme teams to create research‑informed, flexible curricula that integrate technology.
• Work closely with the Technology Enhanced Learning (TEL) and Educational Development teams to align resources and support.
• Report to the Head of the Centre for Teaching and Learning and contribute to strategic planning.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in educational development within higher education.
• Demonstrated expertise in digital education, e‑learning design and implementation.
• Proven ability to lead projects and develop professional development initiatives.
• Strong understanding of research‑informed pedagogy and curriculum innovation.
