Senior Engineer – Multi‑storey Residential Construction

About the role

Senior Engineer required for a large‑scale apartment development in Dublin City Centre. The role is part of a major multi‑block residential scheme delivering apartments, retail, office and amenity space for a well‑established developer, working with a Tier 1 main building contractor.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee setting out of foundations, structures and services and review work of junior engineers.
• Manage and mentor site engineers and graduate engineers.
• Supervise subcontractors such as steel‑fixers, shuttering carpenters and concrete pours.
• Conduct surveying, maintain records and produce progress reports.
• Coordinate with site and purchasing teams to manage material deliveries.
• Support site management in overseeing operatives and monitoring quality and building control plans.
• Lead health and safety inductions, audits and compliance activities.

Required profile

• Degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management.
• Minimum 6 years of relevant experience, preferably in multi‑storey residential/apartment construction.
• Proven ability to manage and mentor junior site engineers.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively.
• IT literacy with surveying tools and MS Office.
• Motivated and career‑focused.
