Senior Engineer – Residential Project Management

About the role

A Senior Engineer with 7+ years of experience is required to join a Tier 1 main contractor on a large residential development in South County Dublin. The position focuses on design coordination and package management, providing a clear pathway towards full project management responsibilities.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate design activities and ensure alignment with client and design team requirements.
• Manage a team of 4‑5 subcontractors and junior engineers on site.
• Read and interpret construction drawings for layouts, material specifications and measurements.
• Plan and organise works to meet programme targets while maintaining high health‑and‑safety standards.
• Liaise with client representatives and design team members as required.
• Control ordering, delivery and on‑site storage of materials.
• Maintain comprehensive site records, including diaries, concrete cube registers and delivery logs.

Required profile

• Engineering degree or diploma.
• Minimum 6 years of relevant construction experience.
• Strong interpersonal, written and oral communication skills.
• Self‑motivated with a focus on safety, quality and programme delivery.
• Full driving licence.

Required skills

• Reading and interpreting construction drawings.
• Site documentation management.
