About the role
We are seeking a Senior HR Business Partner to provide strategic HR leadership for a complex, multi‑site organisation on a 12‑month maternity cover. Reporting to the Head of HR, you will work closely with senior leaders to align people strategy with business objectives and drive organisational change.
Key responsibilities
- Partner with business leaders to design and implement HR strategies that support organisational goals.
- Provide expert advice on workforce planning, succession planning and organisational development.
- Lead complex employee‑relations cases, investigations and disciplinary processes.
- Coach managers on performance management, development planning and compliance with employment law.
- Collaborate with Learning & Development to address capability gaps and lead engagement initiatives.
- Deliver HR analytics and workforce insights to inform decision‑making and monitor key metrics such as turnover and engagement.
- Work with Talent Acquisition, HR Operations and Reward teams on cross‑functional projects.
Required profile
- Significant experience as a senior HR Business Partner or advisor in a large, multi‑site or complex organisation.
- Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders and manage change initiatives.
- Deep knowledge of employment legislation, employee relations and HR best practice.
- Strong analytical capability with experience using HR data to drive decisions.
- Experience in construction, engineering or project‑based environments is an advantage.
- Degree in Human Resources, Business or related field; CIPD qualification desirable.
