Senior Internal Auditor – Officer

About the role

State Street is seeking a Senior Internal Auditor, Officer to join its Corporate Audit Division in Ireland. Based in Dublin (or Kilkenny), you will work on audit projects covering State Street’s Ireland and International business, focusing on fund accounting, transfer agency and depositary services.

Key responsibilities

• Perform audit work following the Division’s risk‑based methodology and IIA standards.
• Obtain and analyse evidentiary data to form objective opinions on control adequacy and effectiveness.
• Draft clear audit issues, outlining root causes and recommended corrective actions.
• Review and monitor management’s remediation actions.
• Escalate potential obstacles to audit management with proposed solutions.
• Develop and maintain knowledge of State Street products, processes, industry and regulatory topics.
• Build relationships with audit clients and business partners, serving as the primary audit contact.
• Contribute to change initiatives and support onboarding and coaching of junior staff.

Required profile

• Experience conducting internal audits in financial services, preferably within fund services.
• Strong understanding of risk‑based audit methodologies and IIA standards.
• Ability to analyse complex data and communicate findings clearly.
• Proactive attitude with a focus on continuous improvement.
