Senior Mechanical Design Engineer

About the role

This full-time senior position based in Dublin leads mechanical design projects from concept through detailed design and implementation for building services and related systems.

Key responsibilities

• Create and review mechanical layouts and detailed designs.
• Perform mechanical calculations and ensure compliance with industry standards and sustainability goals.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, clients and stakeholders.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to design reviews.
• Support continuous improvement of technical standards and design workflows.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Proven experience in mechanical design within consulting or similar environments, preferably at senior or lead level.
• Knowledge of low-carbon design principles, energy efficiency and sustainable building technologies.
• Familiarity with relevant standards, codes and regulations; professional registration or chartership pursuit is a plus.
