Senior Medical Officer – PEACEPLUS Healthier Futures (Part‑time)

About the role

The Health Service Executive is recruiting senior medical officers on a part‑time (0.5 WTE) basis to support the PEACEPLUS Healthier Futures Project within community medical departments across the North West and North East of Ireland.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver primary‑care medical services in designated community medical departments.
• Contribute to the objectives of the PEACEPLUS Healthier Futures Project.
• Collaborate with HSE primary‑care teams and other health professionals.
• Work under a specified purpose contract until 31 December 2028.

Required profile

• Qualified medical doctor, registered with the Medical Council of Ireland.
• Senior grade (Medical Officer – Senior) eligibility.
• Willingness to work part‑time (0.5 WTE) in the specified locations (Ardee, Co Louth or Ballyshannon, Co Donegal and surrounding counties).
• Commitment to the contract duration and HSE service standards.
