Senior .NET Desktop Developer

About the role

Analog Devices is looking for an experienced software developer to build desktop applications that let customers evaluate and configure its products. The role suits someone who communicates well with the team to identify solutions and then implements them independently, covering work with USB devices via an API or Hardware Abstraction Layer (HAL), business logic and UI implementation with the MVVM pattern.

Key responsibilities

• Build new functionality that enables configuration of new hardware for customers and internal engineers.
• Contribute to the development of the modern cross-platform desktop evaluation environment, from release 1.0 onwards.
• Partner with domain experts to develop hardware-specific plug-ins and support a collaborative plug-in ecosystem built on core framework capabilities.
• Identify problems with the team, design solutions and implement them with quality and maintainability in mind.
• Work across architecture, business logic and UI implementation to deliver reliable, polished user experiences.

Required profile

• 5+ years of professional experience developing products with C# (or an equivalent object-oriented language with substantial C# proficiency).
• Ability to communicate clearly, collaborate effectively and deliver independently with a high level of ownership.

Required skills

• Experience implementing MVVM with modern UI frameworks such as WPF, Avalonia or MAUI (cross-platform experience is a bonus).
• Strong knowledge of Git, including common merge strategies and practical debugging skills.
• Preferred: Reactive Extensions and/or ReactiveUI, CI/CD with GitHub Actions, development on Mac or Linux including packaging and deployment, and working with USB APIs and HALs and related troubleshooting.

The position involves about 10% travel, is a day shift and requires access to technical data, which may involve an export licensing review for non-US citizens and permanent residents. Analog Devices is an equal opportunity employer.
