Senior Network Engineer – Load Balancer Operations

About the role

Mastercard is looking for a Senior Network Engineer to join the Load Balancer Operations Team. You will be responsible for the full lifecycle of load‑balancer platforms, ensuring they meet the company’s high‑availability and security standards across a global network.

Key responsibilities

• Perform daily administration, monitoring, and upgrades of load‑balancer appliances and related systems.
• Back up and renew PKI certificates, maintaining configuration integrity.
• Identify and resolve complex network and application traffic issues, focusing on performance, resilience, and security.
• Collaborate with engineering and project teams to translate business requirements into effective monitoring strategies.
• Develop and maintain automation scripts to improve troubleshooting efficiency and platform stability.
• Contribute to the overall strategy for load‑balancer operations and manage escalated technical incidents.

Required profile

• Deep expertise in internet and data‑center architecture, especially load‑balancer and web‑application firewall technologies.
• Strong understanding of network connectivity, IPv4/IPv6, and port assignment.
• Proven experience designing, patching, and monitoring load‑balancer configurations in large‑scale environments.
• Ability to lead troubleshooting sessions and coordinate multiple teams toward optimal solutions.
