Senior Platform/DevOps Engineer – Dublin/Remote (2 days onsite)

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Platform/DevOps Engineer to join a leading Life Science technology company in Dublin. The role is hybrid, requiring two days onsite per week, and involves mentoring mid‑level engineers, collaborating with engineering heads, and tackling complex automation, observability, security, and design challenges.

Key responsibilities

• Build strong relationships with developers and QA teams to continuously improve architecture.
• Lead and mentor mid‑level engineers, fostering best practices.
• Own security‑at‑scale initiatives and ensure high‑quality deployment outcomes.
• Create, manage, and enhance CI/CD pipelines at a deep technical level.
• Drive hands‑on automation using Python or similar languages and implement observability processes.
• Participate in incident response when required.
• Apply an evidence‑based approach to problem‑solving and decision‑making.

Required profile

• Approximately 10 years of commercial experience in a Platform/DevOps environment.
• Proven expertise in observability, automation, and advanced pipeline development.
• Hands‑on experience building and maintaining Kubernetes clusters.
• Strong background with AWS services (preferred).
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code, preferably Terraform.
• Daily scripting and automation using Python and/or Go.
