Senior Project Manager – 6-Month Contract

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager on a 6‑month contract to lead strategic business change and software delivery initiatives for a leading financial services organisation. The role requires a commercially minded professional who can drive outcomes, engage stakeholders, and deliver critical technology projects in a regulated environment.

Key responsibilities

• Lead end‑to‑end delivery of complex business and technology projects, ensuring timelines and budgets are met.
• Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to define scope, deliverables, success criteria, and implementation plans.
• Manage multiple concurrent initiatives, maintaining clear priorities and focus.
• Monitor progress, identify risks and dependencies, and implement mitigation strategies.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for stakeholders, providing regular updates and ensuring effective communication.
• Drive continuous improvement of project governance, reporting, and PMO processes.
• Support release planning, aligning resource capacity with business priorities.
• Facilitate decision‑making and ensure successful adoption of change across the organisation.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 + years of experience as a Project Manager delivering business and technology change.
• Previous experience within the financial services sector, preferably in a regulated environment.
• Proven track record of delivering software implementation and business transformation projects.
• Experience managing project governance, risk management, and stakeholder engagement.
• Strong understanding of project delivery methodologies and best‑practice frameworks.
• Ability to operate independently while managing competing priorities in fast‑paced settings.
• Experience working with both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
