Senior Project Manager – M&A

About the role

Albany Beck is looking for an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead a major transformation and integration programme for a leading banking client. This role focuses on driving post‑acquisition integration, aligning people, processes and technology, and delivering strategic change in a fast‑paced environment.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate integration and transformation activities across multiple business and technology workstreams.
• Support post‑acquisition integration initiatives while ensuring continuity of operations.
• Collaborate with senior stakeholders to assess operating models, processes, governance structures and technology landscapes.
• Determine the most effective integration approach, balancing existing capabilities with those of the acquired business.
• Drive programme governance, planning, reporting, risk management and delivery oversight.
• Facilitate collaboration between business, operational and technical teams to ensure alignment.
• Identify and manage key dependencies, integration risks and change impacts throughout the programme lifecycle.
• Provide clear communication and leadership across senior stakeholder groups.

Required profile

• Proven experience delivering complex business or technology transformation programmes.
• Previous exposure to mergers, acquisitions, integrations or organisational change initiatives.
• Strong understanding of integrating operations, systems, teams and processes.
• Excellent stakeholder management skills at all organisational levels.
• Robust programme and project governance experience, including planning, RAID management and executive reporting.
• Comfortable operating in ambiguous or evolving environments with a pragmatic, solutions‑focused mindset.
• Self‑starter with the confidence to take ownership and drive activity independently.
• Strong communication, organisational and leadership capabilities.
