Senior Project Planner – Dublin

About the role

The Senior Project Planner will support the delivery of high‑value engineering projects across a 5‑year portfolio in Dublin. Working within a vibrant, agile, multi‑functional team, you will ensure projects are delivered on time, safely, within budget and to the required quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Provide high‑quality planning support to the Project Manager.
• Mentor and guide junior planners as required.
• Review contract documentation and identify key scheduling and tracking requirements.
• Develop construction schedules from high‑level targets and the work breakdown structure (WBS).
• Support client schedule negotiations and integrate schedules with the main contractor.
• Load labour and metric data into schedules based on commercial inputs.
• Create trackers and reporting templates; produce fully integrated construction schedules.
• Measure and track weekly progress, validating with the commercial team every 2‑3 weeks.
• Highlight risks and roadblocks, escalating to the Lead Planner and Planning & Risk Manager.

Required profile

• Proven experience in project planning for multi‑disciplinary engineering projects.
• Strong understanding of construction scheduling, WBS, and contract documentation.
• Ability to mentor junior staff and communicate planning information clearly.
• Experience with client and contractor schedule negotiations.
• Proficiency in analysing progress data and reporting to senior management.
