Senior Property Underwriter

About the role

The Senior Property Underwriter will drive profitable growth of AIG's property lines by underwriting new business, managing renewals and supporting brokers with expert advice. The role balances financial performance, risk assessment and excellent customer service.

Key responsibilities

• Underwrite property risks within defined authority, using broker submissions, CAT modelling and survey reports.
• Meet individual underwriting targets to help the team achieve budgeted financial objectives.
• Provide accurate monthly management information on submissions, bind rate, premium and other key metrics.
• Deliver proactive, timely service to brokers and generate new business through network expansion and broker events.
• Collaborate with Commercial Operations and internal underwriters to resolve policy issues and develop team knowledge.

Required profile

• Relevant experience in property underwriting or property lines insurance broking.
• Strong communication, interpersonal and analytical skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines and maintain attention to detail.
• Customer‑ and sales‑focused mindset with a tenacious, motivated attitude.
