Senior Software Engineer - Android

About the role

We are a global technology leader developing next‑generation mobile, wearable and XR solutions. As a Senior Software Engineer in the Sensors Technologies team, you will design and deliver Android applications and cross‑platform tools that enable advanced sensor data collection and feature demonstrations on intelligent devices.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and test Android applications for sensor data acquisition and feature demos.
• Create cross‑platform desktop applications (Windows and Linux) with intuitive UIs to control Android devices, visualize data, and perform post‑processing.
• Build high‑quality Java/Kotlin components following industry‑standard design principles.
• Develop prototype and reference software for smartphones, wearables, and XR devices.
• Collaborate with global engineering teams to support sensor algorithm development and commercialisation.
• Contribute to end‑to‑end data pipelines, monitor production workflows, and optimise data quality.
• Support internal data‑collection campaigns, troubleshoot field‑testing applications, and assist users.
• Assist customer programmes with algorithm validation, data analysis, and technical issue investigation.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer/Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• 2+ years of experience developing Android applications using the Android SDK (Android Studio preferred).
• Strong object‑oriented programming skills in Java and/or Kotlin.
• Experience with system‑level software and tools using C++ and Python.
• Proficiency with Git and GitHub for version control.
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities across global teams.
