Senior Software Security Engineer

About the role

Dolby is a global leader in audio and imaging solutions, delivering technology to millions of devices worldwide. As a Senior Software Security Engineer you will help protect Dolby’s intellectual property and reduce exploitable vulnerabilities across its product portfolio.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct threat analysis and risk assessments for Dolby products from both IP security and vulnerability perspectives.
• Design, implement, verify, and validate IP protection mechanisms.
• Perform exploitability research on discovered vulnerabilities and develop mitigation strategies.
• Operate in embedded environments at the intersection of operating systems, applications, and hardware.

Required profile

• 5+ years of professional experience in software security.
• Proficiency in C++, C and Python programming.
• Hands‑on experience with cryptographic libraries such as crypto++, mbedTLS or OpenSSL.
• Strong knowledge of secure processing and Trusted Execution Environments.
• Experience in reverse engineering, binary formats and exploitation techniques (e.g., buffer overflows, use‑after‑free).
• Familiarity with operating‑system internals and tools such as disassemblers, decompilers, debuggers, emulators or virtual machines.
• Excellent analytical and problem‑solving abilities and good command of written and spoken English.
