Senior Specialist, Customer Experience Design

About the role

Mastercard is seeking an experienced Senior Specialist in Customer Experience Design to join its data and services product development team. The role focuses on designing data‑driven digital products, from proof‑of‑concepts to minimum viable products, across web, mobile, and IoT interfaces.

Key responsibilities

• Design proof‑of‑concepts and MVPs using human‑centric design, Lean UX and Design Thinking.
• Lead and participate in Design Thinking workshops with cross‑functional teams and end‑users.
• Develop visual language and cohesive UI across web, mobile, and IoT form factors.
• Contribute to Mastercard’s design pattern library and define implementation standards.
• Collaborate with brand, marketing, and technology teams to deliver delightful transactional experiences.

Required profile

• Strong experience in interaction design, user archetypes, personas, and user journeys.
• Proven ability to work in fast‑paced, startup‑like environments and client‑facing engagements.
• Portfolio demonstrating multi‑device UX work (desktop, tablet, mobile, wearable).
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Interactive Media Design or equivalent.

Required skills

• Prototyping tools: Figma, Sketch.
• Graphic design tools: Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe InDesign, Adobe Creative Cloud suite.
• Experience with complex information architectures and visual mockups.
• Knowledge of AI/ML concepts applied to UX design.
