Senior Staff Embedded Software Engineer - AI Accelerator

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Staff Embedded Software Engineer to join our Data Center AI Software team. You will lead the development of low‑level firmware and platform software for next‑generation AI accelerator systems used in cloud‑scale compute environments.

Key responsibilities

• Lead architecture, design and implementation of firmware across SoC, board and platform levels.
• Own the end‑to‑end firmware strategy covering boot, reset, debug, security, power, RAS, IPC and platform services.
• Drive large‑scale SoC and platform bring‑up, integration and validation across multiple product generations.
• Provide technical leadership, set coding and quality standards, and mentor engineering teams.
• Conduct cross‑functional design reviews, system debugging and root‑cause analysis for complex platform issues.
• Establish best‑in‑class observability, CI/CD pipelines and automation for pre‑silicon and post‑silicon validation.
• Collaborate with ODMs, silicon vendors and manufacturing partners to ensure successful ramp‑up and deployment.
• Influence roadmap and long‑term technical direction for firmware in AI accelerator systems.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or a related field.
• 12+ years of experience in firmware or low‑level system software development with proven technical leadership.
• Deep experience in SoC bring‑up, hardware/software integration and system‑level debugging.
• Strong understanding of computer architecture, memory hierarchy and interrupt handling.

Required skills

• C and C++ programming.
• Scripting in Python and Bash.

• Knowledge of RAS, IPC, power management and security mechanisms.
• Experience with CI/CD, automation and pre/post‑silicon validation workflows.
