Senior Swift Engineer

About the role

Apple’s Information Systems & Technology (IS&T) team is looking for a Senior Swift Engineer to shape the future of native macOS, iOS, and iPadOS applications used by thousands of Apple employees worldwide. You will drive technical strategy, mentor engineers, and deliver high‑impact, user‑centred solutions at massive scale.

Key responsibilities

• Lead architecture and implementation of native applications using Swift and SwiftUI.
• Design and build AI‑enhanced features that reduce manual effort and simplify complex workflows.
• Ensure deep platform interoperability with system services, internal APIs, and other Apple applications.
• Own feature lifecycle from user research and concept through testing, deployment, and iteration.
• Define and enforce engineering standards for code quality, testing, accessibility, and performance.
• Represent the team in cross‑functional technical forums and collaborate directly with leadership.

Required profile

• Proven senior‑level experience building production‑grade macOS, iOS, or iPadOS applications.
• Strong track record of leading architecture decisions and mentoring engineers.
• Ability to translate user‑centred research into reliable, high‑quality software.
• Excellent communication skills for cross‑team collaboration and technical advocacy.
