SharePoint Administrator

About the role

Our client, a leading international manufacturing and technology‑driven organisation, is expanding its Group IT Applications team. The SharePoint Administrator will manage and enhance a global Microsoft 365 and SharePoint Online environment, ensuring secure, scalable collaboration for business units worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Administer and support the global SharePoint Online estate, including site provisioning, permissions, and lifecycle management.
• Collaborate with project teams and stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver effective collaboration solutions.
• Implement, document, and support new Microsoft 365 and SharePoint features.
• Manage compliance, retention, and information‑governance initiatives using Microsoft Purview.
• Monitor platform health, storage utilisation, performance, and adoption trends.
• Develop and maintain governance policies, standards, and best practices.
• Identify and implement automation, reporting, and user‑experience improvements.
• Provide global support, training, and knowledge‑sharing sessions.
• Act as an escalation point for complex SharePoint and Microsoft 365 issues.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of experience administering SharePoint Online in a large‑scale or global environment.
• Strong understanding of Microsoft 365 technologies, governance, security, and compliance.
• Proven stakeholder‑management and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities and follow ITIL service‑management principles.
